Dear Sir/Madam,

At the moment UNDP and UNV are doing ICT assesment in Lao PDR.

One of the issues we are looking at is standartization. In particular,

we are interested in Lao Script.

Could you please provide us with following information:

(1) Which organization requested Lao Script to be included in UNICODE?

(2) When this organization requested Lao Script to be included in

UNICODE?

(3) When Lao Script was included in UNICODE?

I understand that Lao character assignment in UNICODE was based on ISO

standard for Lao Code Page. If its true, could you also provide us with

following information:

(1) What is its ISO number?

(2) When Lao Code Page became part of ISO standard?

(3) Which organization requested this standard to be included in ISO?

(4) When this organization requested this standard to be included in

ISO?
