This public directory contains data files for various versions
of the Unicode Standard, as well as mapping tables and sample code.

For more information on the updates and the character database,
please consult the web page:

The subdirectory contents are:

BETA		Data files under beta release.  These are NOT to be
		used or cited as final information.

MAPPINGS	The CJK cross reference list, names list, and other
		mapping tables, mainly to vendor code pages.

PROGRAMS	Some sample source code (e.g., UTF reference code).

TEXT		Some old Unicode Technical Reports.

UNIDATA		This directory contains the latest version of the
		Unicode Character Database, in a number of files
		which are explained on the web page above.
