CLDR Ticket #10240(closed unknown: as-designed)

Opened 3 months ago

Last modified 5 weeks ago

Inappropriate use of "count" in "week of" data

Reported by: kent.karlsson14@… Owned by: anybody
Component: unknown Data Locale:
Phase: dsub Review:
Weeks: Data Xpath:
Xref:

Description

For instance

en.xml: <dateFormatItem id="MMMMW" count="one">'week' W 'of' MMMM</dateFormatItem>
en.xml: <dateFormatItem id="MMMMW" count="other">'week' W 'of' MMMM</dateFormatItem>
en.xml: <dateFormatItem id="yw" count="one">'week' w 'of' y</dateFormatItem>
en.xml: <dateFormatItem id="yw" count="other">'week' w 'of' y</dateFormatItem>

The "week of" data has a "count" attribute, but refers to a single week (no interval). Therefore the use of a "count" attribute is inappropriate for the "week of" data and must be removed.
