Incorrect German translation of some date format items

Reported by: eflarup@… Owned by: kristi
Component: datetime Data Locale: de
Phase: spec-beta Review:
Weeks: Data Xpath:

Since the German locale data uses different translations for abbreviated formatting vs. stand-alone month names the date format item shown below should use 'LLL' for the month name instead of 'MMM':

<dateFormatItem id="yMMM">MMM y</dateFormatItem

The same really applies to the yMMMM item, but since the long month names are currently identical for formatting and stand-alone the results would not differ in that case.

It is the convention in many locales that date formats without 'd' do use LLL or LLLL for the month name.

Reference: Instruction in http://cldr.unicode.org/translation/date-time

Make sure that the correct forms are provided, especially for the months, and used in the patterns. That is, suppose that the language uses "Dezembro" for December when standing alone (LLLL), but "Dezembru" when with a date (MMMM, when it means the nth day of that month
