Description

This ticket lists the updates required in CLDR Supplemental Data mainly among Indic scripts and languages.
*Languages and Scripts
*Scripts and Languages
It is necessary to include most accurate information as Noto fonts, Google keyboards etc take data from CLDR charts.

Many data are missing and not complete. This list is prepared after verifying from primary & scholarly sources such as Unicode proposals. The highlighted portion shows where changes are required.

For example
*Konkani is mainly written Devanagari, Kannada and Latin scripts. However this charts list only Devanagari.

*Sanskrit is widely written in many Indic scripts, this chart provides only Devanagari, Sinhala, Grantha, Sharada and Siddham scripts.

*Language information on recently encoded Ahom, Marchen,Newa,Masaram Gondi,Soyombo and Zanabazar square is provided.

*For Takri script add all the Pahadi languages mentioned in the section 2.1 of proposal http://std.dkuug.dk/JTC1/SC2/WG2/docs/n3758.pdf

*The chart says Dogri is also written Arabic script. These entries need to be verified whether it is really written in Arabic script from Published sources.

*Sanskrit language categorized as 'O'.The modern language column shows "O" if the language is not in customary modern use (currently following ISO 639-3 Types: Ancient, Extinct, Historical, or Constructed).
However Sanskrit is still used by both L1 and L2 speakers and is one of the official languages of India. It may not appropriate to call Sanskrit as 'not in customary modern use'.

*The Primary column shows "N" if the language combination is neither an official nor a defacto-official language of some country.
This includes the data only at national level. In case multilingual countries like India, official status exist at sub-regional level(states and union territories) and scheduled languages recognized by constitution. A new column or code can be created for languages official at the sub-regional or state level.
