Percent and permille displaying with a breakable space

Reported by: Marcel Schneider <charupdate@…> Owned by: anybody
Component: other Data Locale: French

Description

http://st.unicode.org/cldr-apps/v#/fr/Symbols/e40488710eb92c4
shows % and ‰ preceded with a breakable space, like 23 %, while it should be NNBSP.

Some locales might prefer displaying the % and ‰ closed-up.

French locale prefers them preceded by NNBSP:

ST doesn’t accept this.

Replying to 11247:

http://st.unicode.org/cldr-apps/v#/fr/Symbols/e40488710eb92c4
shows % and ‰ preceded with a breakable space, like 23 %, while it should be NNBSP.

It is actually a NBSP.

ST doesn’t accept this.

It does in Number Formatting Patterns:
