Change %spellout-numbering RBNF for da

Reported by: c960657-unicode.org@… Owned by: anybody
Component: numbers-rbnf Data Locale: da
Phase: dsub Review:
Weeks: Data Xpath:

Description

The RBNF for %spellout-numbering for da is currently defined like this:

 <ruleset type="spellout-numbering">
  <rbnfrule value="0">=%spellout-cardinal-common=;</rbnfrule>
</ruleset>

This generates numbers such as “en” and “tusinde”. These do not work well with the “table number one” example mentioned in UTS #35, part 3, section 6. “Bord nummer en” and “Bord nummer tusinde” are simply wrong.

I suggest %spellout-numbering use %spellout-cardinal-neuter instead:

 <ruleset type="spellout-numbering">
  <rbnfrule value="0">=%spellout-cardinal-neuter=;</rbnfrule>
</ruleset>

The examples would then become “Bord nummer et” and “Bord nummer tusind”.

%spellout-cardinal-common and %spellout-cardinal-neuter are identical with few exceptions: “en”/“et”, “tusinde”/“tusind”, “million”/“en million”, “milliard”/“en milliard”.

Replying to c960657-unicode.org@…:

“tusinde”/“tusind”, “million”/“en million”, “milliard”/“en milliard”.

Not sure why "et" and "en" went missing here. They should not be missing...
