Issues with Trac changes

This is from email from a week ago, and some of may be old.

I noticed a few problems with the trac changes. Take http://unicode.org/cldr/trac/ticket/5390 as an example.

  1. The Type is not listed at the top (yellow box). It is now an important field. Type, Component, and Phase should always be grouped together.
  1. There are other fields in the header at the top that just clutter.

Version: svn?
Keywords/Load/Weeks. We rarely use these, so we should either discuss moving, or at least move them down to the bottom of the the header.
Data Locale/DataXPath. I think Steven uses these in the auto-tickets. Should be grouped together.
Phase/Review: vital, and should be at the top of the header, not the bottom

  1. Under modify ticket, the order and placement of fields should match the header at the top.
  1. In Modify Ticket, there's Type. However, in that bug you see as a type "enhancement", which I think we are nuking. When you make a new bug, the pulldown doesn't list "enhancement".

One thing we found vital in making earlier changes to to make sure that there are no bugs left with the old values. You can't search on them with the normal report form, etc.

  1. When you pull down the Type, they are in random order. Should be alphabetical so we can find them; especially if you are making the list longer.

These are all already to-do's in the Trac Strawman doc. I suggest we close this ticket so that we don't track the to-do's in several places.

Steven might have a way to affect the display order of fields.

I am in the process of removing fields that we agreed to remove.
