Separate data and tools

Description (last modified by mark) (diff)

Using subversion, it would be cleaner to have two projects for CLDR, one for data and one for code.

We currently have:

... /exemplars

I think we should

  1. create a project for common
  2. make sure that the the data directories are all in trunk/common/, moving in:
    • exemplars
    • keyboards
    • seed
  3. remove the /exemplars project

trunk/common/seed doesn't as much sense to me. common and seed are peers, and the tools (at least the way ST uses them) expect them to have parallel content.

The issue here doesn't explain the motivation.

An alternate proposal:

What we could do instead if have a top level data directory, and move keyboards, common, exemplars, seed etc underneath data. Then we would have data/common/main and data/seed/main.
