Emoji Versions & Sources, v5.0
For the new beta version, see v11.0β.
This chart shows when each emoji code point first appeared in a Unicode version, and which sources the character corresponds to. For example, “ZDings+ARIB+JCarrier” indicates that the character also appears in the Zapf Dingbats, the ARIB set, and the Japanese Carrier set. Some emoji before 2015 (and all emoji before 2010) are proleptic (they were only later considered emoji). It does not include emoji sequences, except for keycaps and flags.
While these charts use a particular version of the Unicode Emoji data files, the images and format may be updated at any time. For any production usage, those data files should be consulted. For more information, see Index & Help.
