It would be useful to name Chinese characters after their basic meanings, e.g. 龍 as 'CHINESE CHARACTER TRAD DRAGON', and 貓 as 'CHINESE CHARACTER CAT, and the recently-invented character 钚 as 'CHINESE CHARACTER PLUTONIUM''.
If two characters have the same meaning, e.g.: 犬 'CHINESE CHARACTER DOG1', 狗 'CHINESE CHARACTER DOG2'

A better way to get basic information about a Han character is to use the Unihan database.
The existing scheme allows the use of "names" for Han characters for the purpose of identifiers, without introducing over one hundred thousands arbitrary strings. (This identifier usage is needed, otherwise these characters would be fine without "names".)
