Unicode® Consortium Membership History

The following charts list all the organizations that have ever been voting (Full or Supporting) members of the Unicode Consortium since its incorporation in 1991. (Voting members prior to 2022 included Institutional members, a membership level discontinued as of 2022.) The charts are organized by decades (1991-1999, 2000-2009, 2010-2019, 2020-2029) to simplify the presentation. In cases where a voting member started out as a non-voting (Associate) member and later upgraded to a voting membership, or where a voting member later became non-voting, that status is also shown in the charts. When a former voting member discontinued operations or was acquired by another organization, thus terminating its membership in the Unicode Consortium, the year of that event is also shown.
