TITLE:  Call for 8th IRG Meeting 
        to be held in Singapore on 13-17 January 1997

Dear IRG members, 
   Enclosed please find the Tentative Agenda and hotel information 
for 8th IRG meeting to be held in Singapore on 13-17, January,1997. 
This meeting has been fully approved by WG2 31th meeting as a 
resolution in Quebec in August, 1996.
   The meeting will make disposition on unsettled issue with the 
high quality printings of CJK Internal/Horizontal Supplementation 
( if any) , discuss the strategy or global plan for CJK Vertical 
Extension based on the current SC2 informal voting on the CJK 
Extension A , as well as refine the proposal on Ideographic 
Composition. Since the three topics would probably have to be 
conducted in parallel during the meeting,  I would like to request 
each member body to send at  least two or three experts to participate
all ad hoc meetings.
  In order to have the meeting better organized, I sincerely hope 
that you may give me comments on the tentative agenda beforehand. 
Once your delegates decide to attend the meeting, please notify their 
names to Dr. Wilson Lee and me. 
  Your cooperation and support will be fully appreciated !
