Abstract

The talk will cover the history and rationale for adopting Unicode in Microsoft Office. It will also cover the areas that take particular advantage of Unicode, as well as discuss some of the difficulties and solutions found along the way. The talk will cover the main Office applications, and include extensive demos of features that benefit from Unicode.
