Mark Davis is a leading researcher in multilingual and translingual information retrieval. Since 1992 he has been at Computing Research Lab, NMSU, where he has developed novel approaches to automatically extracting and using bilingual text resources to retrieve documents in multiple languages. He has published over 15 articles and a book chapter on the topic. Most recently, he has been a principal investigator on the design and implementation of large-scale, UNICODE retrieval engine that has been the basis for several advanced information retrieval applications.
