Target Audience: Manager, Software Engineer, Systems Analyst, Marketer

Level of Session: Intermediate

With the advent of Unicode 3.0, 13 new scripts are added to the existing repertoire. After introducing the new scripts by showing each of them in a typical graphic setting, we will explore a select few of the following facets:

- History & derivation
- Look (graphic impression)
- Classication as alphabetic, syllabic, ideographic, etc.
- Relation to other scripts
- Behavior: notable characteristics, level of complexity, etc.
- Economic significance
