While machine translation does not provide adequate quality, increasing attention is focusing on machine- aided translated systems. Such systems must support multiple languages both for translation from any language to any language and at UI level. Unicode is at the core of transforming the delivery of multilingual e-commerce solutions. Using UNICODE can facilitate multiple language support and allow translators to operate in any language with a single machine aided translation system. We will examine the architecture of such a system as well as the implications of multiple file format support and multilingual translation memory configuration. |
