Brian Beck is a Staff Engineer at Sun Microsystems' Java Software Division, where he works on all aspects of Java's Internationalization support. He joined Sun in the summer of 1996. Brian came to Sun from Netscape where he implemented Navigator's Unicode font support for Java. Prior to Netscape, Brian was part of the Internationalization Group at Taligent where he spent two years developing an Internationalization architecture in C++. Brian received his Bachelor of Mathematics (Honours) in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, Canada in 1987. He has been developing software for 14 years in both Canada and the United States. |
