Don Carroll has a background in electronic engineering and worked several years in manufacturing engineering prior to joining the R&D team which introduced the first Hewlett-Packard LaserJet printer in 1984. Don has taken an active part in the transition of type from typesetters to desktop printers. Don has served on ANSI and ISO committees to set standards for fonts and character sets. Don currently is an alternate HP representative to the Unicode Technical Committee. Don worked with others in the font arena to arrive at an industry standard for the glyph shape of the Euro following the character encoding proposal in Unicode. |

International Unicode Conferences are organized by Global Meeting Services, Inc., (GMS).
