SAP is the market leader in the business application software. Now in the era of internet, SAP made Unicode based mySAP.com available with it's full functionality. Majority of 1000 world's most valuable companies are SAP's customers. And we found that most of e-business requirements are already available as mySAP.com functionality. We made all SAP functionalities available on internet and enabled Unicode for the entire mySAP.com business application. We would like to give a short demonstration of a small Unicode based e-commerce scenario using mySAP.com. Unicode based mySAP.com will be available on 8 operating systems, 7 databases, and we dealt with more than 5 computer languages in order to make Unicode based mySAP.com available in full functionality. We apply ICU (International Components for Unicode) because we found that ICU offers us the high quality internationalization features for the big business applications. The presentation shows the elegance of Unicode when running global business, value of ICU, and we would also like to summarize some open issues in the Unicode related standards.
