Biography

R.K. Joshi - National Centre for Software Technology

R.K. Joshi:
Prof. Joshi has been involved in multi-lingual communication activities as an Art director of FCB-Ulka Advertising for last 35 years. As head of Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay, he initiated academic and research projects in promoting Indian languages and scripts in the field of design and computer technology. At present he is working as a Visiting Design Specialist at National Centre for Software Technology (NCST) in the area of language technology and type design.

Keyur Shroff:
Mr. Keyur Shroff is working as Staff Scientist in Graphics & CAD division at National Centre for Software Technology (NCST). He has worked on a project to enable Indian language support in Linux operating system using Unicode encoding and OpenType font technology.

S. P. Mudur:
Dr. S. P. Mudur is currently professor in the department of Computer Science in Concordia University in Canada. Before this he was Officiating Director of the National Centre for Software Technology (NCST) in India, where he has researched extensively in the area of multilingual computing, particularly problems relating to Indian languages.
