Linus Toshihiro Tanaka - Oracle Corporation

Linus Toshihiro Tanaka is a Principal Technical Staff of Consulting Team in Server Globalization Technology group at Oracle Corporation. He started working for multibyte character encoding issues in 1981 while he was studying in Kyoto Institute of Technology. He worked for hierarchical, network, and relational database management systems, Pascal compilers, and other system software development for 7 years in NEC, Tokyo. He joined Oracle in 1992, and he has worked for Oracle tools products' internationalization, localization management, porting and testing until early 1999. After he moved to the Server Globalization Technology group, he has been working for ensuring proper internationalization of various Oracle server products.
