This paper and presentation highlights some of the key features of the new Oracle database 10g for handling language data. Oracle Database 10g introduces some great new features for better searching, understanding and deployment of your language data. New features like Regular Expressions, Globalization Development Kit, Case and Accent Insensitive Sorting and Searching, and the Language and Character Set File Scanner will be introduced. Enhancements to important technologies like Oracle Text, XML datatypes, Export and Import will also be covered. We will go through each of the features and enhancements and explore how they can be used to better leverage your language data and deploy a global enterprise.
