We have today established that a Java applet running in the Netscape
Navigator Atlas Preview Release 2 on Solaris 2.5 successfully displays a
wide range of Unicode characters, including Japanese (Kanji, Hiragana,
fullwidth and halfwidth Katakana), Cyrillic and Greek.

Note, though, that the Java Applet Viewer of the JDK 1.0.2 running on
Solaris 2.5 does *not* succeed in displaying Unicode characters beyond the
first 256 characters (ie Latin 1).
