ANSI or UNICODE in resources??

A strange thing:
I have a application created by VC 5.0 In Win95 for Chinese Version.
Its resources' language set to Chinese[P.R.C]. I write MBCS characters
in dialogs.
But when it runs in English Win95, it seems the system takes it as
UNICODE resources.
How can I make it run properly?
