Unicoders,

Many of you might have quit holding your breath by now, but indeed Unicode 2.1
is officially published and available as Unicode Technical Report #8 at the
Unicode web site at:

http://www.unicode.org/unicode/reports/tr8.html

You will find the two new Unicode characters (EURO SIGN and OBJECT REPLACEMENT
CHARACTER), all the many UTC-approved corrigenda, links given to updated
database and properties files, and some glyph error corrections. Please do not
be disappointed if your anxiously awaited glyph correction was not made - we
had to call a halt to new glyph image creation in the interest of getting
Unicode 2.1 finished up.

Much of the credit goes to Ken Whistler for generating the new data files and
to Julie Allen who worked tirelessly to overcome formatting problems caused by
the differences between my tools and hers.

Enjoy...and for any comments or suggested corrections, please continue to use:

errata@unicode.org

Best regards,

Lisa
