GB 16500-95 has been mentioned in several JTC1/SC2/WG2 minutes
and most recently in N 1943 "Revision of 10646-1 Annex T for CJK Unified
Ideographs Extension A".

References in WC2 minutes/documents remain the only discussion I can
find of this standard - despite very wide ranging searches.

Any information or perspective on GB 16500-95 gratefully appreciated.
