Because it'd look ugly and take up a lot of space? Yes, I too
wonder why the Web people would chose decimal for thier
Unicode references, but it's not that hard to pop up bc or some
other calculator and do hexidecimal to decimal conversions. Since
it's trivial, there's about as much point to doing it as keeping
one of those old books of logs around.
