I wonder a little what you mean exacty by "parse" them so they can be
"accepted" by the code. In any case, if you want sample code for UTF
conversions, please try:

        http://www.unicode.org/Public/PROGRAMS/CVTUTF/

Then look at the Unicode book. If you don't have access to one, try
reading relevant parts (e.g., Chapter 5) of the 3.0 version online at:

        http://www.unicode.org/unicode/uni2book/u2.html

Also, some "useful resources" might help. Try clicking on "Useful
Resources" from the Uncicode home page. Here's one example:
