Right. I just assumed that *if* it was logographic, 600 characters seemed an
implausibly small number, compared to Chinese.
But, after Tom Emerson's message, it seems clear that it is a phonetic
script. (BTW, can everybody else load <http://www2.ttcn.ne.jp/~orie/>? It
doesn't work for me).
