If you go to:
http://www.geocities.com/i18nguy/unicode-example-plane1.html

and you download and install the font from James Kass:
http://home.att.net/~jameskass/CODE2001.ZIP

you can display the plane 1 characters in the page.

IE likes plane 1 characters only as NCRs (&#xXXXXX;).

Some of the other browsers prefer only utf-8 and not NCRs.
