OS/390 & Unicode

I had a few querie regarding level of support of Unicode in Os/390 systems
which are listed below .. any clues in this regard will be most welcome ..

whether Unicode support is available for both MVS dataset and Hierarchical
File System (HFS)?
> 2. Does OS/390 V2R8 supports UTF-8 and UTF-16 for both MVS Dataset and HFS

> 3. What is the equivalent locale name on OS/390 V2R8 for ja_JP.UTF-8 used
in Unix for Japanese UTF-8 language.
> 4. Does DFSORT - sorting utility supports UTF-8 data? If DFSORT does not
support UTF-8 data, is there any conversion utilities available for
converting UTF-8 data to DBCS character set
