      Well, actually, it should also work under Linux if you take the cvs
    snapshot. Unfortunately,
    the surrogate support didn't make in 1.3, but the cvs snapshot (for both
    Mozilla-X11 with
    traditional X11 server side fonts and Mozilla-Xft with a new client-side
    font thechnology)
    supports surrogates very well. (see
