    .
There were recently threads concerning the display of variant glyphs.

    Here's an interesting approach...

    Quoting from,
    http://www.languagegeek.com/syllabics/unicodeproblems.html

    (quote)
What does this all mean? Not much to the typical user, who is unlikely to
use letters from alphabets such as Ancient Celtic Ogham or Mongolian (where
I have placed these special characters).
    (end quote)

This is from the "Aboriginal Serif Unicode" font developer's web site, which
is offered as a "Unicode" font to cover U.C.A.S..

The main page for the fonts section is:
    http://www.languagegeek.com/syllabics/syllabicfonts.html

Here is a page which offers some examples of syllabics for a few languages
    using this approach.
    http://www.languagegeek.com/syllabics/example.html

Hmmm, it seems that in order to display this page as its author intended,
one would have to install the font...

    Best regards,

    James Kass
