You may be interested to know, if you don't already, that cuneiform is
already being worked on. If you're interested, subscribe to the
cuneiform@unicode.org list (next to no postings in recent history).
Sumerian, Akkadian, et al. are languages all of which use the same script,
at various stages of its evolution. Ergo one encoding.
