Paradoxically, because they are used in RTL contexts, it is inadvisable
to make any change. As was discovered with the quotes, which were
incorrectly believed to *not* occur in RTL usage, any change
/invalidates/ all existing RTL documents. Not a good idea then, and not
a good idea now.
With mirroring, once a characters is added, that's the last time you can
change its mirroring property.
