    We already use unicode fonts (mainly on the web). Shifting to a new code for PE WITH DESCENDER will cause troubles with searching.
    But since it is possible to change the glyph for 04A6/7, it is not a problem any more.

    Untill recently I didn't know that such a glyph change was possible, because Unicode already has middle hooks (Ӄӄ, Ҕҕ...) and descenders (Ққ, Ӷӷ...) encoded separately.
