+1 is useful when the purpose of the message is to present only that one
bit of information. Sometimes that is true, and adding more will only
complicate the discussion. Other times there is more to be said.
But quoting the entire post being responded to, without any attempt to
edit out the irrelevant parts, is seldom helpful and almost always
maddening, whether the response is +1 or something more substantial.
