If the Japanese providers themselves don't mind having quite a few
"foreign" emoji displayed as words in square brackets, and some are -
intentionally, I guess - displayed as geta instead of fallback words
(no one shows or mentions monkey face to DoCoMo!), the 100% roundtrip
of emoji is not a hot issue for them or their customers.
Why couldn't Google be a "carrier" with all purple cells, then?
