Different people will be interested in different benchmarks. Mark's main
interest was in the timing of normalization of short XML/HTML identifiers to
NFC.
Anyone should feel free to write other benchmarks using available
normalization libraries, such as ICU <http://icu-project.org/> which has
C/C++ and Java normalization APIs. (User
