    BTW *is* there a Unicode 5.2 compatible Egyptian Heiroglyph font
    available? Either in Windows or elsewhere?

    No Unicode compatible fonts for Egyptian Hieroglyphs appear to be listed
    at <http://www.unifont.org/fontguide/> or
    <http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/fonts.html>

    Perhaps that is why Bob is not seeing glyphs for the Egyptian Hieroglyph
    characters.
