I might add that:
- several blocks of Unicode characters have names that include the word
"Latin,"
- these blocks can be used for writing English (as in this message) and
hundreds of other languages as well as Latin,
- most of the letters in these blocks are not in fact used for writing
the Latin language, and
- this is generally not seen as any sort of problem.
