Comment: Canada has no expertise on Yi script. Discussion on some of the email fora indicate that the PDAM text seems to have introduced several errors compared to the input documents. Editor and contributing editor are requested to verify the content and fix the PDAM text.
China would like to vote " NO " on ISO/IEC 10646-1/PDAM 14 ( Reference number: ISO/JTC1/SC2 N3083 ) since there are some errors in names and orders of China's proposal for ISO/IEC 10646-1/PDAM 14, and that's why the corrected proposal will be followed by mail and will replace the original one.
Sorry for any inconvenience occurred due to such changes.

UK COMMENTS ACCOMPANYING VOTE OF APPROVAL ON ISO/IEC 10646-1/PDAM.14 YI SYLLABLES AND YI RADICALS
The UK approves the amendment with the following comments:
Technical comments
The character name at hex A3D2 (YI SYLLABLE HXE) in Table 229 on page 17 appears to be out of sequence in relation to the other names, whose spellings otherwise appear to follow a consistent pattern. The U.K. National Body does not have the expertise to propose a correction.
Document: SC2 N 3083
The U.S. votes to disapprove SC 2 N 3083. The reasons for disapproval are contained in the comments below.
Comments:
The U.S. position on this ballot is NO until the following things are fixed in the PDAM 14 for Yi:
1. All errors detailed in document L2/98-142 "Comments on Text for Yi
PDAM
#14" must be corrected. (Note that this means, among other things,
moving various characters around, and ensuring that the final result has
all the glyphs correctly matching their names in the new order.)
The U.S. includes L2/98-142 with these comments, to ensure that the disposition
of comments is done with complete information regarding the problems in
the PDAM text.
2. The printing problem in the PDAM text on page 5 (which omitted every third number and every third name) must be fixed.
3. The glyph currently shown at position A301 must be corrected to display at the correct size, as for the other characters.
4. A truetype font needs to be made available to the editors prior to submission of the FPDAM ballot. If fonts used by the requesting national body cannot be made available to the editors and no alternatives are available the FPDAM ballot must be delayed indefinitely until such fonts become available.
5. Please see attached document L2/98-142 (98142-yi.doc): 02n31533.pdf
