This document is distributed for ISO/IEC JTC 1 final letter ballot. The U.S. TAG is required to recommend a vote for the National Body. ATTENTION X3L2: NOTE A BIG CHANGE The X3L2 committee is to coordinate and develop the U.S. recommended position to the JTC 1 TAG for approval for submission to ISO/IEC JTC 1. The position must be submitted in a format consistent with the guidelines specified by the JTC 1 Secretariat in JTC 1 N 3413. The X3L2 committee is requested to answer the six questions enclosed on the NP letter ballot. The committee should return the U.S. recommendation to the JTC 1 TAG Administrator as soon as possible but no later than December 18, 1995 so that it may be submitted to the JTC 1 TAG for approval by a 30-day letter ballot and to ANSI prior to the JTC 1 closing date of February 9, 1996. ACTION REQUIRED BY JTC 1 TAG JTC 1 TAG members are required to begin reviewing the attachment to this transmittal in preparation for expeditiously determining their vote when the U.S. TAG recommendation is submitted to JTC 1 TAG for approval.
