Dear Mr. Hart,

Please find below the necessary steps to install the STD template to
work with your Word 2000 installation.

1. Unzip all the files provided in the attached Zip file to a specified
location on your hard disk.

2. Run the STD_[YourName] Reg file by double-clicking on its icon. (If
your registry is write-protected, ask your system administrator to
perform this task.)

IMPORTANT — Before you run the REG file, backup your registry (the files
"user.dat" and "system.dat" or "NTuser.dat", depending on your operating
system). This will allow you to restore it if any problem is
encountered.

3. Save the files STD.DOT, BASICEN2.DOT and BASICFR2.DOT in the folder
you have specified for the template location, i.e C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Templates.

4. Open Word and run the template.

NOTE — The README file and the REFMSTDE file present in the zipped
package are, respectively, the terms of use and the template user
manual.
