From: Joan_Aliprand@notes.rlg.org Sent: Tuesday, April 23, 2002 14:29 To: jaliprand@pobox.com; Edwin.Hart@JHUAPL.EDU Subject: Things to do from phone call on Apr. 23 Ed: I made notes of our phone conversation to send to myself so I know what to do when I get home. Thought they might also be useful to you. -- Joan We will use the version Ed made which is "reorg" plus interpolations from FCD 2375. We agreed to use these procedures: 1. This version will be used to work out the contents, without much attention to formatting (at this stage) 2. Fonts will be used to distinguish between original text and L2 additions. - The text of WG20 N849 will be in a serif font (Times New Roman). - Interpolated text from FCD 2375 will be in a sans serif font (Arial). - Comments and other supplied text will also be in a sans serif font (Arial). 3. The position of page breaks in WG20 N849 will be shown as a comment (Arial font). 4. New clauses will not be numbered at this time. The pound sign will be used as a placeholder for the clause number. If a new sub-clause is inserted within an existing clause of WG20 N849, # will be used foir the sub-number, with the main numbering consistent with the main clause. 5. Source of text that has been inserted will be noted. (i.e., "Based on Clause xx of FCD 2375" or "New"). 6. Changes to FCD 2375 should be shown for our use, but we agreed that these changes will not be shown in what is submitted to WG20. We thought that it might be a good idea to move most of the content in Clause 6 to the first Annex (cf. Annex A of FCD 2375). Joan will see what Sandra thinks about this. We will note the need for the reorganization of Clause 6 in a comment immediately below the heading. We will also propose removal of most of the content to an Annex in a comment (if Sandra agrees). Providing a reorganized Clause 6 is a separate task (that we may not get to). Joan will ask Arnold to find out if the Euro is covered in ISO 4217:1995. Joan to correct ASN.J to ASN.1. Ed will make a Word version from the PDF document WG20 N849 and incorporate interpolations from FCD 2375. (This will be the basis of the master for final submission.) Final formatting, final clause numbering and addition of Table of Contents will be do as part of preparation for final submission. (Ed has better skills with Word, so is the designated hitter for this.)
