(I finished through section 14 steps.) However, I am enclosing it for you to critique the style, etc. I'll plan to finish tonight. In the text, "CCS SC" means "Coded Character Set Subcommittee". 1.a. Information in each block of the flowchart. (Do you like this? Improvements?) <2375 subsection number> : 1.b. We could simplify the flow chart by removing step 13.5, if you would add text to 13.3 and 13.4 to say that the SA may consult the RA-JAC for these. Actually, I though that Japan(?) had requested that the RA-JAC be responsible for the technical evaluation in 13.3 and 13.4. It's your decision about whether you change the text. My preference is to add the RA-JAC to 13.3 and 13.4 and delete 13.5 even if it means renumbering. In that way, there should be not confusion that the decision belongs to the RA and not the RA-JAC. 1.c. The flow chart would be simpler if we incorporated the clause 14.1 test for SC 2 into clause 13.6 before sending the mapping to the RA-JAC (clause 14) and remove second sentence in clause 14.1. Suggested new text for clause 13.6: "If the registration includes a mapping and the mapping was not created by the subcommittee concerned with coded character sets, then the procedure in Clause 14 applies." 2. You do have a 16x16 table for multibyte codes on page 18. Great! 3. Updates to 24x24 table on page 19: rows and columns start at 0x21 or 33 decimal and end at 0x38 or 56 decimal Ed Edwin F. Right now I don't remember either if I put in the 16x16 table. Apart from that, there are a few bits underscored by me in the draft which I need consultation on. Sorry it took 6 months to get this sorted out, but the "divorce" from the former business partner took 5 months of that. -- Michael Everson *** Everson Typography *** http://www.evertype.com 15 Port Chaeimhghein Íochtarach; Baile Átha Cliath 2; Éire/Ireland Telephone +353 86 807 9169 *** Fax +353 1 478 2597 (by arrangement)
