Disposition of Comments
The PDAM appears in JTC1/SC2 N 3105 (also SC2/WG2 N1779).
Responses to the letter ballot appear in JTC1/SC2 N 3160
(also SC2/WG2 N 1835).
National bodies that submitted comments are listed below.

appears after its name in the list.
Ireland Accepted.
Israel Comment noted. No action required.
Japan (N)
A. Accepted in part. The term RIAL in the name will be changed
to RIEL.
B1. Rejected. Khmer linguists insist that these are distinct characters which must be coded separately. They are used chiefly in transliteration, for instance of Sanskrit.
B2. Rejected. This is the normal way that Long A is represented in Brahmic scripts in the UCS.
B3. Rejected. Khmer linguists have indicated that these are required for lexical work and must be distinguished in coded text.
B4. Rejected. The stand-alone form of these characters can be represented by preceding the characters with a space.
B5. Rejected. The Virama model is used for Khmer.
Sweden Comment noted. No action required.

U+17C7 and U+17C8: Accepted.
Fonts: Accepted. A font is now available.
