Subject: Comment on L2/17-069: Tamil Fractions and Symbols

I have gone through the final proposal from Govt. of Tamil Nadu. There is lot
of effort over the years by mnay regarding these archaic symbols and
fractions. As one who first proposed all of these need to be encoded in SMP
and not any of them in BMP, and proper naming convention using Tamil Lexicon
(University of Madras) for the Tamil words, I am happy to find that these
requests have been incorporated. As Tamils worldwide are increasingly using
English letters to write Tamil words in social media, youtube, etc., and also
in producing URL titles for the internet with Tamil words, the "hard
consonants" called Vallinam are important to be transcribed as such.

Some annotations using Tamil words using Latin script for few symbols can be
done at much later date.
