Emoji Proposals Status
The spreadsheet below provides a list of emoji that have been submitted since 2015. See the Status Key for descriptions of the Status values.
The list is updated once per year, usually in early December. Auto-declined proposals are not included in this list.
Status Key
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Released as Emoji | The emoji in this proposal is now encoded in the Unicode Standard. |
| Recommended to UTC | A proposal was recommended to the UTC in an ESR report. |
| Under Consideration | This emoji proposal has passed the initial review and is eligible for consideration in a future version of the Unicode Standard. No more proposals are needed at this time for this concept. |
| Expired | Proposal was returned for modifications and not returned within 60 days. Usually this is because of deficiencies with the initial proposal, and would not progress unless revised by the author and resubmitted. |
| Declined | This proposal was declined because it did not fulfill the selection criteria. Emoji that have been declined are not eligible to be re-submitted for four (4) years. |
